First Drive Experience with the 2022 Dodge Durango

Dodge Durango makes a mighty muscle car, or can be described better as a sports car that comes with every attribute that speaks of what a true petrol head vehicle should. With its supreme capability of ferrying a family of seven peacefully to their chosen destinations, this ultimate muscle SUV also perfected its manners as one of the most practical cars in its own segment.

The 2022 model year edition of Dodge Durango is expected to get released by the second quarter of the year 2021 with a minimal refreshment done to some of its important aspects. As of now, the Dodge Durango will continue to dress up in its old classic outfit that intrigues the elder generation to that much extent so that they do not mind investing in one, shared the most experienced seller at the Gilroy Dodge dealer.

Feature Highlights for the Year 2022

The 2022 model year edition of the Dodge Durango is already been announced by its manufacturer to be released as a carryover model of its predecessor and have six distinct trim variants. Mechanically too it will have the same 293 horsepower making 3.6-liter V6 engine as the standard and optional 360 horsepower from an optional V8 engine. The mechanical performance of the 2022 Dodge Durango matches perfectly with its decent interior design giving its rivals like Hyundai Palisade, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride, a tougher challenge to deal with.

The 2022 model year edition of the Dodge Durango series will continue to be stacked up in six different trim levels namely, the SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, SRT, and SRT Hellcat. In all this the standard Durango feature package will be offered across the SXT, GT, and Citadel variants while the optional features will be distributed in R/T, SRT, and SRT Hellcat as per the hierarchy of their price range. The base trim model of the 2022 Dodge Durango will get the as much convenience you will need, but the higher trims will keep adding more layers of features that will fringe into the territory of real in-car luxuries, like Nappa leather upholstery, powered, heated and ventilated seats, Alpine premium speaker and lot more. On the other hand, the 2022 Durango models also offer an optional Trailer-Tow Group IV package that can enhance its overall towing capabilities.

First Drive Experience

We drove all the 2022 Dodge Durango models of different power variants, thanks to the cooperation and encouragement we received from the Dodge dealer Gilroy. Driving with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 295 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft torque was experiencing a true sports car drive while the 5.7-liter Hemi-V-8 engine making 360 horsepower simply swept us off our feet in excitement.

Acceleration prowess in every 2022 Dodge Durango can’t be doubted, especially at the time of highway merges and while managing undulated road surfaces. It was surely one among the fastest of its kind, reaching 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds in a smooth flow. The outside noise did not creep in, and the spacious and clean interior atmosphere kept us energetic and fresh, even after a hectic highway drive.
